How To Avoid Extended Closures After A Leak In Your Commercial Building

6/11/2020 (Permalink)

It doesn't take much to be hit by water damage in your commercial building. It can be as simple as your employee bathroom supply line bursting, this can output gallons and gallons of water in just one night. The resulting spillage can cause damage to carpets, furniture, computers and important documents.

If you happen to experience this do not panic. We can send in one of our highly trained technicians who carefully inspect the entirety of your business to log all instances of water damage to your building before beginning the restoration process. To quickly and efficiently remove standing water, our tech crews can utilize industrial grade wet vacs and pumps. To avoid major disruptions to your business, we can begin the water extraction process at a time that works best for you.

Once any excess water has been removed we can start to work on the affected sections of flooring. Carpet is highly absorbent and can hold a lot of moisture which can cause it to delaminate. We have special tools to help us remove any carpet or if need be lift it for drying.

We can then assist you with drying out any other affected materials using our air movers and dehumidifiers. The sooner we place this equipment the soon your business will be back up and running.

Creating a fire evacuation plan

1/6/2020 (Permalink)

Let's be prepared.

It is important to have a plan in place when unexpected events occur. Safety meetings should be done occasionally to remind everyone about the importance in action needed to stay safe. If you currently do not have an evacuation plan no problem today is the day you can create one. When creating this plan remember to keep everyone’s special needs in mind such as children or elderly depending on your workplace, locate exits or routes such as floor plans and place throughout your building, monthly inspection on fire extinguisher, fire alarms and also keep safety kits stocked up. designate someone who is reliable, present and reacts quickly when having to disseminate information to employees, customers, news, etc. Practicing the evacuation plan helps reduce confusion when and if an emergency occurs.

Earthquake Safety

7/10/2019 (Permalink)

Drop ,Take cover and Hold on

Safety plan when the ground starts to shake. When an earthquake happens locate a place in each room of the house that you can go to in case of an earthquake also keep flashlights in a nearby accessible place. This spot should be where nothing can fall on you. Remain inside until the shaking stops and you are sure it is safe to exit the building. When it begins to shake take cover under a desk or table and hold on. Stay away from windows in case of them breaking and causing injuries and also stay away from light fixtures.. If you are in bed remain there hold on and protect your head with a pillow. If you are outside, find a clear spot away from buildings, trees, and power lines and drop to the ground. If you are in a car, begin to slow down and locate a safe place never near a tree, or a building that may collapse. Remain in your car until the shaking has stopped.
